I cannot tell you how wonderful it makes me feel to know that something I said may have helped you to feel more comfortable with food and your body. Unfortunately, our society focuses so heavily on the "ideal" weight concept. But it seems to have backfired- more obesity and eating disorders than ever before. And it's not ideal to be fighting one's body and using extreme measures. It will take a while for the HAPPY weight idea to fully sink in. Be sure that you have continual reinforcements (in your environment, in your inbox, magazine selections, and friends) that support a loving relationship with your nourishment and body. Focus on eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are full and moving your body everyday. Then your happy weight will be sure to find you. Keep me posted on your progress! I've been trying on and off to lose the 10 - 15 pounds to put me in the correct BMI (which is a joke upon itself) for years, but you know what? The last time I weighed that much was pretty much when I hit puberty. I don't think I can reasonably expect my body to go back to its middle school physique, and just like you, I'm content with my clothing options, etc. They have done studies where slightlyyyyy overweight people tend to live longer than those with the recommended % fat.
